Thirty-six years ago, for his exhibition L’Oeil de l’Antiquaire at galerie Transit, Johan Creten created an invitation in the form of a small booklet. Two thousand copies of this edition were sent out, fifty of which were hand-bound, numbered, and signed. Today, this booklet has become a sought-after collector’s item that is rarely found.
To honor and mark this extraordinary exhibition of galerie Transit, and on the occasion of the preview of the exhibition Elan vital on March 1, Johan Creten has once again created an invitation in the form of a small booklet. As before, 2,000 copies were distributed as invitations, and once again 50 copies have been hand-bound, numbered, and signed.
