“Ooit speelde ik op school in een rockgroepje. Tijdens de uitvoering van een zacht en lyrisch liedje, dat ik kort voordien schreef, stopte ik plots. Ik besefte dat iemand die op een scène zingt over God, enkel om gitaarheld te worden, een klootzak is. Die pauze blijft al dertig jaar aanslepen.”
